There are people that don't like to buy grey imports for. eARC's basically the best solution if the Onkyo/Pioneer receivers don't cut the mustard. I still get sound but no signal transmitted to my TV. whenever I switch between inputs using the receiver's remote the TV experiences video synch problems and take some time before I get picture and sound. We work on most models on the Pioneer brand. Unfortunately, HDMI boards tend to be relatively fragile and prone to overheating and cooking themselves.
